What Benchmarks Do

Everything you need to run proficiency assessments across your program.

Build Reusable Assessments

Create a benchmark once and run it across your program. Every response is auto-scored to your proficiency framework.

Deliver in a Controlled Exam Environment

Students complete benchmarks in a secure, distraction-free environment, with delivery locked down for reliable results.

Get Instant Results

As soon as students finish, results are ready. No waiting, no manual scoring. Every spoken and written response is scored automatically, with proficiency levels estimated for you.

View Hierarchical Reporting

Teachers see their students' results. Program leaders see every classroom. District administrators see every school. Everyone sees what they need.
Testimonial logo

"After seeing our students' speaking and writing scores on National Proficiency exams consistently rank below the national average... We tried Speakable and were amazed at the difference it made. We had a record eighty students achieve the Missouri Seal of Biliteracy."

How it works

Program-Wide Proficiency Data in One Period

Set Up Your Benchmark

Import your organization's roster and build your assessment. Choose your questions, select your proficiency framework, and decide which classes or schools will participate.

Students Complete It in One Period

Students log in and complete the benchmark in a single class period. Every spoken recording and written response is captured and scored automatically. No test coordinator needed.

View Results Instantly

As soon as students submit, results flow into hierarchical reporting. Teachers, program leaders, and administrators each see the results for their scope, organized and ready to act on.

Track Proficiency All Year, Without a Full Testing Day

Annual exams show where students ended up. Benchmarks show where they are now, with data you can act on before the year is over.
