At Speakable, we acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of languages in your classrooms. We understand that you, as a teacher, may be working with English as a Second Language (ESL) students who come from different linguistic backgrounds. They might be native speakers of Spanish, Arabic, French, or any other language. Catering to the needs of such a linguistically diverse group can be a challenge, but Speakable is here to make it a breeze for you.

Create Assignments with Dynamic Translations

Speakable makes it easy for you to create assignments that adjust to the native languages of your students. Our system offers dynamic translations that adapt to the language settings of each student's Speakable account. How does this work? It's quite simple. When creating a Repeat Card in the activity builder, you'll notice a 'Translation' field. Here is where you normally put the translation of the phrase or sentence. But if you're working with students who speak different native languages, there's a better way to go about it.Simply leave the 'Translation' field empty.Yes, it's that straightforward. When you leave this field blank, Speakable will automatically translate the 'Target Language' into the native language set in each student's Speakable account. So, whether your students are native Spanish, Arabic, or French speakers, they will receive translations in their respective languages.

Empowering Multilingual Classrooms

With this feature, you're not only providing a personalized learning experience for your students but also acknowledging and respecting their linguistic diversity. The automatic translation function helps your students understand the lesson in the language they are most comfortable with, enhancing their learning experience and contributing to a more inclusive and diverse educational environment.Speakable is committed to offering versatile and adaptive language learning tools that cater to the individual needs of every student. Our aim is to make language learning more accessible, effective, and enjoyable for all, no matter where they come from or what language they speak natively.
